Steven Nevets is an American author, best known for his forthcoming debut fantasy novel, The Midway Conflict: Hour 1.

Steven's journey to becoming a fantasy author began in 2003, when he embarked on writing his first novel—a 500-page manuscript completed over the course of 11 months. His workspace was overtaken by countless notes and ideas, but despite the abundance of material, the storyline still failed to meet his expectations. Over the next two decades, he revisited the project time and again, refining and reworking the concept through multiple iterations, rewrites, and adjustments.

In 2009, Steven's life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer, ocular melanoma. Unbeknownst to him, a cluster of cancerous cells had been growing behind his eye for some time. Faced with two choices—succumb to the illness or fight it—he chose to fight. Undergoing surgery, Steven emerged victorious, and today, he continues to move forward with his creative work.

In 2024, another personal tragedy prompted a pivotal moment of reflection. In light of the challenges he had faced, Steven felt compelled to integrate his life experiences into his writing, blending elements of fantasy, history, and realism. His goal was to create a narrative that would not only resonate with readers but also inspire those navigating their own hardships.
